Coming from the design duo of Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund CMMN SWDN is a project all their own. They first met in 2004 in London while studying at prestigious schools Central Saint Martins and London College of Fashion. Both having extensive experience in design with fashion houses such as Wooyoungmi, COS and for Kanye West in Yeezy Season 1 where the duo worked as Head of Design side by side. Setting up Kanye’s studio in Paris triggered the desire to start their label- CMMN SWDN. Expressed in this SS16 season in store now, are classic silhouettes constructed in original variations. From the Boxy tee being more of a anti-fit heavy weight cotton giving the shirt a unique substance and structure. Paired with the satin Hunter Bomber Jacket and vintage inspired Maxime Denim Shorts brings life into CMMN SWDN’s progressive takes on classics.
